Financial Planning and Investment Advisory Services

At Lazarus Financial Planning, our process is uniquely different. Our work together is very collaborative -- with a mix of discussion, education and strategy -- and results in a cohesive financial strategy, based on what matters most to you and continually adjusting to life’s changing circumstances.

I will help you:

  1. Articulate and prioritize your goals

  2. Understand your options by explaining them in clear language

  3. Come together with your partner around money differences

  4. Make informed decisions after reviewing exhibits with appropriate analysis

  5. Implement your decisions by outlining action steps and facilitating the process

  6. Find trustworthy and skillful professionals (attorneys, accountants, mortgage brokers, insurance agents) who provide the services or products you need

  7. Work with others on your professional team so everyone is collaborating and all the pieces fit together to help you reach your goals

  8. Know exactly how to invest your portfolio -- which custodian to choose, what type of account, and what specific investment to buy

  9. Monitor your progress and adjust to new situations

Money isn’t everything, but it affects everything we do -- plan well.

We recognize that to continue to make good decisions, financial planning is an ongoing process. Priorities shift, new opportunities appear, challenges arise, tax laws change. So, we continue to meet on an ongoing basis using a “flexibility within discipline” approach. I am available to you on an as-needed basis (flexibility) and we meet at scheduled times throughout the year to review all parts of your financial life (discipline):

  1. Annual review of goals and identification of upcoming changes on the horizon: job changes, pregnancy, new house

  2. Annual review of your insurance needs

  3. Annual review of your estate plan and beneficiary designations

  4. Annual review of your philanthropy

  5. Annual review of your progress toward your major goals -- college funding, major purchases, retirement

  6. For those who are retired, annual review of the Retirement Income Plan -- which integrates your spending needs with a safe withdrawal rate from your portfolio, and has an appropriate portfolio design to meet your needs today and over the decades

  7. Ongoing cash flow planning

  8. Ongoing tax planning to optimize your opportunities within current tax law and projected future tax situation

  9. Ongoing investment review -- making sure that these investments continue to be most appropriate for you, investing new dollars, rebalancing, and adjusting the asset allocation as your circumstances evolve

  10. Ongoing attentiveness to new opportunities and to apprise you of problem areas

  11. Long range planning and visioning, and bringing this vision to reality

Effective planning integrates your evolving situation so you’re always making new decisions having integrated relevant and timely information. My role is to walk alongside you, listening, bringing to your attention new opportunities, avoiding missteps, and offering advice based on what matters most to you.
